Signing of contract during 12th IGEBC in Beijing

To implement the strategic deployment of the CPC Central Committee and State Council about reinforcing Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction,the „International Conference on Green and Energy-Efficient Building & New Technologies and Products Expo (IGEBC)“ was born in 2005 and successfully held for nine years. Co-organized by Chinese Society for Urban Studies, China Green Building Council and Eco-City Research Committee of China, the Tenth IGEBC will be held at Beijing International Convention Center(BICC) on March 28-30, 2014 with a theme as “Popularizing Green Building, Promoting Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction”.


Political dialog with Qiu Baoxing

Qiu Baoxing, former Vice Minister for Construction of People’s Republic of China and the current direct advisor of the Chinese State Council of Minister President Li Keqiang, met with Wolfang Frey over a personal dinner, focusing on their ongoing technical exchange since 2010.

Since 2007, the former Vice Minister for Construction has been heading the “Chinese Society for Urban Studies” (CSUS) founded in 1984. It is a technical organization that supports the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction of the People’s Republic of China. Qiu Baoxing is also the President of the Urban Planning Society of China (UPSC) and the Chairman of the IWA China Committee.


URBAN FUTURE Global Conference 2016

URBAN FUTURE is the largest event for sustainable cities in Central Europe. For two days, specialists and decision-makers from 280 cities met with each other and various countries to talk about mobility, living and city planning, communication and resources.

Wolfgang Frey was invited to share his expertise in one of these four topics – living and city planning. How we humans live is one of the key decisive factors for sustainable cities – and simultaneously one of the greatest challenges.
