Bundestag representative tours the Air Rescue Station developed by Frey Architekten2016.07.09

As a member of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Bundestag representative Matern von Marschall (CDU) is deeply engaged in the areas of sustainability, environmental research and climate policy-making. As a European Union committee member, he also addresses these issues well beyond the borders of Germany.

Matern von Marschall and Wolfgang Frey maintain regular contact to discuss the many issues pertaining to sustainability.

In 2015 Wolfgang Frey, together with Siemens AG, presented the Smart Green Tower during a political discussion. Matern von Marschall was very enthusiastic about the idea of the Smart Green Tower and wants to support the project in the future.

In June of this year, both gentlemen met together with Dr. Ziegahn from the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology at a well-visited public forum about the “city of the future”.

On July 2, 2016 Matern von Marschall accepted Wolfgang Frey’s invitation to tour the DRF Air Rescue Station at the Freiburg airfield. The Station was developed and constructed by Frey Architekten. To round out his visit, Wolfgang Frey invited Matern von Marschall to take a spin in his helicopter.
